Hello All,
Next week we will be having a Gemologist come to Gold Rush
and teach 3rd graders about rocks and minerals. She will teach the
students how to identify and classify gems in their unpolished state. The kids
will each be able to take home all the gems they find. The cost per student is
$8.00. Please make checks out to “Gold Rush Elementary” and send them in with
your child by Tuesday, December 10th. We also need 1-2 parent
volunteers per class to assist the kids and help clean up.

Hello All,
It looks like we are set and ready to go to the Plains Conservation Center on Friday, August 30. We will be allowed to bring three parents on this trip, so it is a first come process. Due to the amount of students going parents will be asked to drive separately and meet us at the center. There will be other trips that 3rd grade will be going on to give others an opportunity to spend time with their children.
The field trip process has changed this year and we will being doing everything on-line. Below is the instructions for what you will need to do to register your child for this trip. When you go to register your child, please choose the appropriate day, our classes are split between two different days to accommodate size.

In order for your child to participate in this field trip/program you must register (includes online permission form) & pre-pay on-line by going to: RevTrak > Elementary Schools > Elementary Schools E thru L > Gold Rush > Field Trips. Be sure to select the date that corresponds with your child's teacher. Please print your receipt and send in with your child.
